Sept. 5, 2023 – In anticipation of the climbing temperatures, Glen Island Beach in New Rochelle will be open Tuesday, Sept. 5 until 6:30 p.m. and Wednesday, Sept. 6 from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; last entry is 6 p.m.

Westchester County Executive George Latimer said, “The Westchester County Parks Department is extending its season at Glen Island Beach to allow for residents to seek relief from the heat as it is important to stay cool in the current weather conditions.”

Commissioner of the Westchester County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation, Kathy O’Connor said, “Our staff and lifeguards at Glen Island Beach are ready to welcome patrons to the beach and provide an outlet to beat the heat.”

Parking fees are not in effect weekdays. Admission fees and Westchester County residency requirements apply.
