May, 6, 2025 – Hilltop Hanover Farm and Environmental Center will usher in a bountiful season of local produce and garden-ready plants when its Farm Stand opens for the season on Thursday, May 8. The Farm Stand will be open Thursdays through Sundays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., through Thanksgiving.
The farm’s Annual Plant Sale will kick off the season, which will include a selection of vegetable starts, which will be available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. For a peek at what’s sprouting at the stand, including the list of vegetable starts, visit Hilltop Hanover Farm.
County Executive Ken Jenkins said: “Buying fresh vegetables from a farm stand on the farm itself means unbeatable freshness, rich flavor and a direct connection to where your food is grown. You support local agriculture while enjoying produce harvested just steps from where you buy it.”
Commissioner of the Westchester Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation Kathy O’Connor said: “Hilltop Hanover lets visitors explore the historic 187-acre farm’s rolling hills and scenic vistas. It features vegetable gardens, greenhouses and hiking trails. It’s an ideal destination for those interested in sustainable agriculture and environmental education.”
The Farm Stand accepts SNAP, FMNP, cash, credit cards and Apple Pay. A 50 percent discount is offered on produce and a 30 percent discount on sourced goods for customers paying with SNAP, WIC, FreshConnect and FMNP.
Registration is open for Hilltop Hanover’s 2025 Farm Membership Program, which allows members 10 percent off of Farm Stand purchases and additional perks, depending on the credit level purchased. Farm Memberships are only available to sign up for during Farm Stand hours. Enrollment is open until the farm hits its seasonal membership goal.
