May 9, 2023 – Westchester County Parks is offering a knocked-out-of-the park deal for HEAT Baseball Camp, which will be held at V.E. Macy Park in Ardsley this summer. Those who register now through May 31 will receive the early bird registration discount, and an additional 10 percent discount if booking multiple weeks.

County Executive George Latimer said: “Our baseball camps help children develop athletic skills, get exercise, make friends, have fun, understand teamwork, learn to play fair and improve self-esteem. The aptitudes and lessons that young people acquire at Westchester County Camps shape positive values and behaviors.”

HEAT Baseball Camp will cover all areas of the game including fielding, pitching, hitting, base running, strength and conditioning, game situations and baseball IQ.

Four week-long sessions will be held in July and four days in August.

  • Session 1: July 10 – 14
  • Session 2: July 17 – 21
  • Session 3: July 24 – 28
  • Session 4: July 31 – Aug. 4

Commissioner of the Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation Kathy O’Connor said: “All of the positive skills and attitudes that youngsters learn at HEAT Baseball Camp carry over into other areas of their lives, such as school and work. Playing sports also helps improve their concentration and focus.”

The early bird registration fee is $300 per camper, per week through May 31. On June 1, the registration fee increases to $325 per camper, per week. Each day runs from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The players must be ages 8 through 15 as of May 1, 2023. The players will be divided into two groups by age: 8 through 11 and 12 through 15.
