Reservations for the 2021 season are available.
All groups will be required to follow current Covid-19 guidelines at the time of their events including but not limited to capacity, social distancing and mask wearing.
Picnicking, including outdoor pavilions, is allowed at the following parks:

  • Blue Mountain Reservation, Peekskill
  • Croton Gorge, Cortlandt
  • Croton Point Park, Croton-on-Hudson
  • George’s Island Park, Montrose
  • Glen Island is available for reservations starting Saturday, July 10.
  • Kensico Dam Plaza, Valhalla (reservations not required)
  • V.E. Macy Park, Ardsley
  • Ridge Road Park, Hartsdale
  • Saxon Woods Park, White Plains
  • Sprain Ridge Park, Yonkers
  • Tibbetts Brook Park, Yonkers
  • Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, Cross River
  • Willson’s Woods Park, Mount Vernon

Conveniently located at some of the most scenic places in Westchester, each facility provides its own unique backdrop for a day of fun, food and relaxation. Whether you are looking for a shady area along the Hudson River, a breezy point on Long Island Sound, or a ballfield for the annual family softball game, you'll find the perfect spot in a county park.

Reservation Office
To make a reservation call the permit office at (914) 231-4575, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (except holidays) Reservation holders will be contacted if there are any changes to Covid-19 protocols in regards to capacity or cancellations.

Group Picnic Permits
A group picnic permit entitles you to exclusive use of an area of the park you choose, including grills and picnic tables. A permit is required for groups of 20 or more, but is also available to smaller groups as well. For an additional fee, you may use the pool, beach, ball field, boat launching ramp and miniature golf course where available. Parking fees are also charged at some parks. Covered pavilions are available at several park locations.

Location, Location, Location

  • Please note that Glen Island is available for reservations starting Saturday, July 10 for the 2021 season.
  • Rates may be higher for larger groups, depending on park and size of pavilion.
  • All rates are subject to change.

Ball Fields
In most parks, use of ball fields is on a first-come, first-served basis unless the field is part of the area reserved for a group picnic.The fees for turf fields at both Tibbetts Brook Park and Saxon Woods Park are $100 per hour plus an additional $65 per hour for lights.There are also 3 grass soccer fields in the south end of Tibbetts Brook Park, two grass soccer fields at V.E. Macy Park and one grass soccer field at Croton Point Park available for rent for $75 an hour. There are no lights available on those fields. Call (914) 231-4575 to reserve.

Miniature Golf Courses
Miniature golf is also available by reservation for your group at Tibbetts Brook Park in Yonkers and Saxon Woods Park in White Plains. Special group rates are available. To arrange for a miniature golf group outing, call Saxon Woods at (914) 995-4480 and Tibbetts Brook at (914) 231-2881.
