Feb. 28, 2023 – For the very best in camp variety, convenience and value, look no further than Westchester County Parks. Enrollment for Slam Dunk Basketball Camp and JustinTime Baseball Summer Camp registration is now open, and HEAT Baseball Camp and Hole-in-One Jr. Golf Camp registration opens Wednesday, March 1, at noon.

County Executive George Latimer said: “The Westchester County Parks Department will be hosting a variety of sports camps this summer. We are especially excited that Slam Dunk Basketball Camp will return to the Westchester County Center and JustinTime Baseball Summer Camp will be calling Scout Field home. Providing the County’s youth with the opportunity to develop fundamental skills, have fun, make new friends and enjoy our County Parks is our goal.”

We provide local, safe and professionally staffed camps at an affordable price!”

Slam Dunk Basketball Camp returns to the County Center this summer and provides instruction for children entering grades 3 to 9 (as of Sept. 2023). Dedicated to providing campers with the opportunity to increase their knowledge of the game and develop their basketball skills, this camp’s environment fosters cooperative learning and enthusiasm. Campers improve their skills at various teaching stations and play games designed to utilize the newly learned skills. Four week-long sessions beginning Monday, July 10, through Friday, Aug. 11, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. back at the Westchester County Center in White Plains; $375 per camper, per session, includes lunch.

JustinTime Baseball Summer Camp provides half-day instruction for children ages 5 to 12. JustinTime Baseball is a youth development company geared towards instructional fun and game play. Camp will cover the basic skills and fundamentals of the game including but not limited to, hitting, throwing and fielding. It will be structured to promote instructional gameplay and sportsmanship while also aiming toward allowing kids to reach their full potential in a positive, friendly environment. Six four-day sessions beginning Monday, June 26, through Thursday, Aug. 3, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., will be held at Scout Field in Bronxville; $400 per camper, per session.

HEAT Baseball Camp provides full-day summer instruction for children ages 8 to 15 (as of May 1, 2023). This camp will cover all areas of the game including fielding, pitching, hitting, base running, strength and conditioning, game situations and baseball IQ. Four week-long sessions beginning Monday, July 10, through Friday, Aug. 4, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., will be held at VE Macy Park, Ardsley. Early bird registration, multiple week discount, early drop off and late pick up available; starting at $300 per camper, per session.

Hole-in-One Junior Golf Camp will be held at all six Westchester County Golf Courses this summer. Campers, age 10 - 17, will learn the fundamentals, hone their skills and develop their confidence. Two week sessions held at Dunwoodie and Sprain Lake, Yonkers; Hudson Hills, Ossining; Maple Moor, White Plains; Mohansic, Yorktown Heights; and Saxon Woods, Scarsdale; beginning Monday, July 17 through Friday, Aug. 3, times vary; $75 per camper, per session.
