Park and Read

This captivating read-aloud program aimed at fostering a love for reading in young children is set to take place in Tibbetts Brook Park in Yonkers, Saxon Woods Park in White Plains, Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla and Westchester Children’s Museum on the Playland Boardwalk this summer.

The engaging initiative is organized by Westchester County Director of Programs and Policies, Childcare and Education Roseanne Finizio in collaboration with the Chappaqua Children's Book Festival.

The program will take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and feature interactive storytelling. Presented in English and Spanish, from experienced and noteworthy storytellers who will bring stories to life. Includes music, movement and wonderful children’s literature, designed to create an enriching experience for children ages 3 - 6 years old.
 
Pre-registration for Park and Read is encouraged, walk-ins are welcome if space allows.

Children must be accompanied by a guardian. Admission is free. Westchester County residency rules apply. Please show proof of registration at parking booths at Tibbetts and Playland.
