We have numerous cancellations and other modifications to our programs and services. The situation for each could change daily so be sure to check back before making plans to visit any currently open park or venue. We appreciate your understanding at this time.

Cancelled – all indoor and outdoor programs through April 30, including:

  • Interpretive programs at our Nature Centers, Muscoot Farm and Lasdon Park
  • Westchester County Center - all public events are cancelled.
  • Parks - all public programs and gatherings
  • Playland - all public gatherings
  • Recreational programs including Mall Walks at The Westchester, walkathons, Friends group gatherings and any other public gatherings.
  • Group picnic and ball field reservations through the end of April.
  • Pitch in for Parks (Rescheduled for Saturday, October 17)

Cancelled - Beyond April 30:

  • Glen Island Harbour Club bookings through May 10
  • Clearwater Community Celebration, June 20 and 21
  • Additional Westchester County Center events (link provided below)
  • Due to the cancellation of Fleet Week no military aircraft will be available for landing at Playland on Veterans Appreciation Day, May 24.


  • Pitch in for Parks - from Saturday, April 25 to Saturday, Oct. 17

  • Westchester Magazine’s Wine and Food Festival – Party on the Pier at Playland from Wednesday, June 10 to Wednesday, Sept. 23. Burger & Beer Blast at Kensico Dam Plaza from Thursday, June 11 to Thursday, Sept. 24; Grand Tasting Village at Kensico Dam Plaza from Saturday June 13 to Saturday, Sept. 26.


  • County golf courses/driving ranges – open for play with cleaning and sanitizing procedures in place. The following actions are taken daily to aid in social distancing:
    • Golfers are asked to check in early for tee times. A minimal number of guests are allowed in the pro shop at one time.
    • Tee times have longer intervals between them and reduction of operating hours is being implemented. 
    • Flagsticks are to be left in the holes untouched and bunkers are not be raked by golfers.
    • Rakes, ball washers and coolers have been removed from the courses.
    • Golf carts are washed and sanitized after each use.
    • Golf carts: mandatory one person per cart. Two bags permitted per cart, with one person driving and the second person walking, alternating driving/walking. Pull carts are available; golfers who can are encouraged to walk.
    • Golfers are instructed to not gather in groups or clusters while on or off the golf course
  • Maple Moor restaurant open ONLY for curbside pickup service for local neighborhood after 4 p.m.
  • Sportsman Center - open during regular operating hours. Minimum number of guests inside office at one time.
  • Parks, nature preserves. Muscoot Farm, Lasdon Park and Arboretum, Playland Park: outdoor areas open
  • Recreational trails
  • County Center East and North White Plains parking lots – open for free parking
  • Public bathrooms only where available
  • Glen Island Harbour Club - building is open for prospective clients/bookings

  • Permit Office for in-person visits at 450 Saw Mill River Road, Ardsley. The Permit Office will be open for
    phone calls at (914) 231-4575 during regular business hours of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. No new reservations being taken through the end of April.
  • Playgrounds, ballfields, tractor at Muscoot, “The Rising” September 11th Memorial at Kensico Dam
    Plaza and other outdoor features where children and/or adults congregate  
  • Basketball courts at V.E. Macy Park and Tibbetts Brook Park

General Information

  • Park users: practice safe social distancing.
  • Practicing safe social distancing is the most important action that will help to keep our parks open.
  • Practice good hygiene by appropriately washing hands.
  • Although we continue to sanitize our parks and make every effort to provide a healthy environment, please make responsible decisions, based on your personal risk profile, on whether to expose yourself to others.
  • We continue to monitor all recommendations and will implement as necessary. If you, a family member or someone you have been in touch with has respiratory symptoms, particularly fever, do not visit.
