Activities
With so much to do in Westchester parks, you will never get bored.
Anyone who’s ever thought that there’s “nothing to do” will find the perfect antidote in Westchester’s parks. Play ball, take a swim or an invigorating hike, ride a roller coaster at Playland Park, browse stunning art collections or skate on a frozen pond or the indoor Playland Ice Casino in season – the possibilities are endless. We’ve even got a great selection of summer camps for children from age four through teenagers. They can learn to swim, golf, basketball or become stewards of our natural environment.
Art in Parks
The Gallery in the Park at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation is a program of "Art in Parks," which brings changing exhibitions of sculpture, painting, murals and other forms of artwork to county parks.
Boating and Fishing
Fishing is permitted in all the streams and lakes under the control of the Westchester County Parks Department, except in the nature preserves and where "No Fishing" signs are displayed.
