The Friends of Lasdon Plant Sale is scheduled for Saturday, May 19, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, May 20, 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at Lasdon Park, Arboretum and Veterans Memorial in Somers.

There will be a special preview for members of the Friends of Lasdon Park and Arboretum on Friday, May 18, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Members will have an opportunity to purchase plants before the weekend event. Refreshments will be served.

The plant sale event features a huge selection of colorful annuals, including a wide variety of hard to find and popular favorites, which are easy to plant and care for.

There will be over 30 vendors selling crafts, food, gifts and more. The Shop at Lasdon will be open and the Fork-in-the Road Cafe Truck will be on hand selling food and refreshments.

The Veterans Museum will present a display about the Korean War and the main house will feature a special art exhibit.

Admission is free to the plant sale.

There is an admission fee to view the newest Lasdon Conservatory exhibit, The Color of Summer. Tickets are sold at the Shop - adults: $7; children 12 and under: $3.

Proceeds from the plant sale benefit programs in the park and are administered by the Friends of Lasdon, which is a 501(c)(3) organization. Contributions are tax deductible.

Lasdon Park, Arboretum and Veterans Memorial is located at 2610 Amawalk Road (Route 35), in Somers.
