Parks Gift CardWhat is it?
The new Parks Gift Card can be used to pay fees at golf courses, swimming and at the Sportsman Center all year long, without having to use cash or your credit card.

The new card is a great gift for a special occasion or a special person. It’s a debit card into which you can deposit any amount of money to use for fees at a variety of Westchester County parks. It is available to both residents and non-residents. Residency and facility use restrictions apply.

Where can I use it?

It may be used at the following locations:

  • All six Westchester County golf course for greens fees and golf cart fees only. Locations are Sprain Lake and Dunwoodie in Yonkers, Saxon Woods in Scarsdale, Maple Moor in White Plains, Mohansic in Yorktown Heights and Hudson Hills in Ossining.
  • Admission fees at Glen Island Park and at all county pools except Playland. Locations are Saxon Woods in White Plains, Sprain Ridge and Tibbetts Brook in Yonkers, and Willson’s Woods in Mount Vernon.
  • Range fees at the Blue Mountain Sportsman Center in Peekskill.

Where to buy?
It can be purchased at any of the above-listed locations (subject to seasonal hours of operation), and at the Westchester County Parks department’s administrative offices at 450 Saw Mill River Road in Ardsley. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call (914) 231-3575. 

How to add value to card:
Additional value may be added to this card at any time and it has no expiration date. Unused value remains on the card. You can refill or check your balance at any of the locations at which the card can be used.

What are the restrictions?

  • The card cannot be used for merchandise or food.
  • All residency and facility rules and restrictions apply.
  • The card has no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash.
  • Westchester County Parks is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged cards or any unauthorized card use. If lost or stolen, it will not be replaced.
  • Unused value remains on the card and cannot be redeemed for cash.
  • The card does not guarantee availability at a particular course or for any particular tee time.

Fun in the Sun at Pools and Beaches

As if summer and swimming aren't fun enough, check out these great events at the pools and beaches during July and August. Whether you'd like to build your own masterpiece in the sand, meet your local heroes, or just dance on the pool deck, make sure to mark the dates on your summer calendar. Most are free with admission except where noted. Westchester residency is required with either a Park Pass or a New York State driver's license.

Senior Pool PartyThe annual Senior Pool Party and Barbecue is set for Tuesday, June 19, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Saxon Woods Pool in White Plains. Rain date is Wednesday, June 20.

Sponsored by Westchester County Parks and the county’s Department of Senior Programs and Services, the pool party is open to Westchester County residents age 60 and older only. Since the pool will not be officially open, seniors will have exclusive use of the facility.

From 11 a.m. to noon, BBQ chicken sandwich, tossed salad, potato salad & dessert. Please bring additional non-alcoholic drinks, but outside meals are not permitted. Entertainment will be provided by the Total Soul Band along with a water aerobics and tai chi class presented by Silver Sneakers. Seating at Saxon Woods Pool is limited; participants are encouraged to bring chairs for seating.

Admission and parking for the event are free; Park Passes are not required for this program.

Lunch Reservations
Suggested lunch contribution is $4. Deadline for placing lunch orders is Friday, June 8. To order, call the Department of Senior Programs and Services at (914) 813-6380 or (914) 813-6423. HeritagefestExperience a variety of cultures from around the world this summer without leaving Westchester County during the annual Cultural Heritage Celebrations held in county parks.

Festivals will be held rain or shine.
Seating is informal; bring blankets or folding chairs for seating on the lawn.

LasdonMusicNiteSwing out, rock on or get mellow at the “Music in the Park” series, which presents genres ranging from indie pop to Woodstock, Fridays, June 29 and July 6, 13, 20, and 27 at Lasdon Park, Arboretum and Veterans Memorial in Somers.

Limited reserved table seating is $25 per person, first come, first served. These tickets are available two days in advance only through the website. General admission tickets are $10 per person at the door for all ages. Pay by cash, check or credit card. Event cancelled in case of inclement weather.
